Our Typical Meals

At the Oste del Re you can taste the best of typical cuisine, traditional dishes and quality local products. Among the first courses, the classic umbrichelli, our rich cold cuts and cheese platters, the hand-made focaccia with porchetta, Cinta Senese pork and Chianina beef stews or the traditional “Ciccotto” an ancient Umbrian dish (originating from the ‘500) with a unique taste. There are also dishes for celiacs.

COLD CUTS PLATTERS

Our great platters with cold cuts, salami, ham, pecorino cheese, different types of bruschetta.

UMBRICHELLI

Home made, umbrichelli are the typical pasta of Orvieto. A simple mixture of water and flour with different sauces: tomato, truffle, wild boar, Chianina or snail sauce.

FOCACCE

Our focacce made with raw flour. You can stuff with vegetables, local porchetta, salami or pecorino cheese. Take away service.

PORCHETTA & "CICCOTTO"

Porchetta, served on the plate or as a filling in our special focaccias. Staying on the subject, the "Ciccotto" ancient Umbrian specialty of the '500, a dish full of flavor and tradition.

THE STRACOTTI DELL'OSTE

With the best selected meats of Cinta Senese pork and Chianina breed beef we make our delicious Stracotti...(stewed meats).

IL BACCALÀ (COD)

The typical fish-based dish of the city: Baccalà all'Orvietana, with tomato, olives, herbs accompanied by our bread.
